Transportation and well-maintained roads are essential to facilitate commerce. As Bangor grows, I will urge the city to take a proactive approach to maintaining and updating our roads without raising property taxes. Springtime potholes are unavoidable in Maine. However, the same problems cropping up in the same neighborhoods year after year can be solved with a more comprehesive approach to maintaining our roads and keeping your vehicles safe. We have a capable Public Works Department and local contractor pool. We must give them the tools and strategies to keep our roads working for you and future developments of Bangor.
